What are the characteristics of cotton cloth?
① Hygroscopicity: its moisture content is 8-10%, so it touches people’s skin, making people feel soft and comfortable without stiffness.
② Thermal insulation: The cotton fiber itself has the advantages of porosity and high elasticity. A large amount of air can be accumulated between the fibers and has good moisture retention.
③ Heat resistance: The pure cotton fabric has good heat resistance. When it is below 110 ℃, it will only cause moisture evaporation on the fabric and will not damage the fiber. Therefore, the pure cotton fabric has no impact on the fabric at room temperature, such as washing, printing and dyeing. The pure cotton fabric is washable and durable.
④ Alkali resistance: cotton fiber has a strong resistance to alkali, and cotton fiber will not be damaged in alkali solution.
⑤ Hygienic: cotton fiber is a natural fiber, its main component is cellulose, and a small amount of waxy substances and pectin. The pure cotton fabric has no stimulation and side effects when contacting with the skin, and is beneficial to the human body.
How to maintain cotton cloth?
① textile 100% cotton fabric is easy to fall off the floating color (the floating color does not affect the color of the fabric itself). When washing, dark products should be washed separately from light products to prevent cross dyeing from affecting the appearance of the fabric.
② It is not advisable to soak in the detergent for too long. The soaking time should not exceed 30 minutes to avoid fading, and bleach should not be used.
③ For pure cotton products, it is recommended to use gentle machine washing. For jacquard fabrics, do not use a hard brush to vigorously wash to prevent yarn breakage and fuzzing.
④ The drying time should not be too long and should not be exposed to the sun to prevent the color from being damaged.
